1:00 pm Keeneland (Race 1) – Blue Eyed Soul 2/1 (2-star play)
The daughter of No Nay Never is out of a speedily-bred mare who won for these connections at Belterra Park back in 2018. The pick has shown good form in the mornings here in recent months including when delivering a 35 second three furlong breeze here earlier this month while a draw in two is a further positive. A promising apprentice takes the ride for Wesley Ward who can improve on his 31% strike-rate (10/32) at this meeting.
2:36 pm Keeneland (Race 4) – Exact Estimate 8/5 (2-star play)
The four-year-old showed ability on his first two starts including when fourth in a mile maiden special weight at Belmont Park in June last year. Both of those efforts came on the main track and he took a step forward and switched to turf when delivering a length victory over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Gulfstream Park last month. Returning from an absence that day he is expected to have improved for the run and is taken to complete a double.
3:40 pm Keeneland (Race 6) – Bound For Nowhere 8/5 (2-star play)
Placed at the highest level when third in the Jaipur at Belmont Park in June 2021 the veteran has been lightly-raced since then though did manage to deliver a Grade 2 victory over six furlongs on a firm turf course when taking the Highlander Stakes at Woodbine in July last year. Placed second in the Grade 2 Nearctic over the same track and trip subsequently and looks capable of making a winning seasonal debut following a string of solid works.
