There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Saturday, including at Keeneland race track. These races would have been taking place at Belmont Park, but construct forced a move to Aqueduct. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now and are up +278.24 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!
Here are our best bets for today’s action at Keeneland race track.
4:12 pm Keeneland (Race 7) – Thunder Love 6/1 (1-star play)
A field of sixteen fillies are set to go to post for Race 7 at Keeneland which is a highly competitive $120,000 Allowance over an extended five furlongs on the turf, and the one I like here is the Paulo Lobo trained Thunder Love, who is improving nicely.
Her last two runs have been very good. Those resulted in form figures of 21 and she recorded her highest speed figure to date when scoring in this grade over six furlongs at Belmont At The BIg A last month, so if she runs to that level again then she can win.
4:44 pm Keeneland (Race 8) – Film Star 8/1 (1-star play)
Brad Cox’s Film Star remains a colt of some potential after just three starts to date, and he looks set to gain his second career win in this Allowance over a mile and an eighth which is Race 8 on the card at Keeneland.
This son of Flatter broke his maiden in fine style on his second start which was by an eased down nine and a half lengths before finishing third in this grade at Churchill Downs last month, and he’s learning all the time so he should go close in this.
5:16 pm Keeneland (Race 9) – Fingal’s Cave 4/1 (2-star play)
The penultimate contest at Keeneland is the $350,000 Grade 2 Lexus Raven Run Stakes for three-year-old fillies over seven furlongs on the dirt and this can go to the unbeaten Fingal’s Cave who has yet to put a foot wrong in four starts.
She showed grit and determination to win a stakes race over a mile at Saratoga last time out and there’s no doubt that she’s a graded class filly who will be fine dropping back to seven furlongs, so it’ll take some performance to stop her.
5:48 pm Keeneland (Race 10) – Push Button 4/1 (2-star play)
Race 10 at Keeneland is an open looking Maiden Special Weight in which a case can be made for many in this field and there’s one gelding in here who can improve a good amount from his debut fifth at Kentucky Downs last month, and that’s Push Button.
He wasn’t beaten far in that race and is drawn in the middle here so Luis Saez will have lots of options from there and hopefully he can get him a nice bit of cover in behind the leaders before coming with a late run in the stretch.
