There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Thursday, including at Gulfstream race track as the build-up to the Kentucky Derby continues. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now, as we are up +247.03 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

2:38 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 5) – Sterling Harmony 6/5 (2-star play)
Race 5 at Gulfstream Park is a five furlong Maiden Optional Claiming event on the all-weather surface which can go to Sterling Harmony who has been knocking on the door in recent starts.
Steven Dwoskin’s four-year-old has finished second here on his last two outings, one of which was over this distance, and he won’t find many better opportunities to break his maiden tag than this.
3:08 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – Glider 5/1 (1-star play)
A field of eight older horses go to post for this $51,000 Allowance Optional Claimer in which Bemma’s Boy is likely to be a warm order but I like the chances of the gelding in gate six, Glider.
He’s a course winner who should be suited by this step up to a mile and three eighths trip so I am expecting a big run from this son of Quality Road.
3:41 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Keanu 8/1 (1-star play)
The penultimate contest is an open race on paper with multiple course winner J P Hellish and the in-form Valiant Avenger likely to be vying for favouritism but they may have their work cut out to get the better of Keanu who tries Lasix for the first time.
After showing a good attitude to win his maiden over course and distance, Juan Alvarado’s gelding was then pitched into stakes company but that came too soon for him so he will appreciate this slightly easier task at Allowance Optional Claiming level.
4:10 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Chrome Ghost 4/1 (2-star play)
Antonio Sano’s Chrome Ghost is a well bred newcomer by Shaman Ghost, who broke his maiden here, and I fancy him to go well on debut and defeat his more experienced rivals in the finale.
As well as having a sire that won here, Miguel Angel Vasquez’s mount also has a dam in Pink Trillium who won here on debut, so everything points towards a bold showing on especially given the fact his workouts have also been impressive.
