12:39 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 2) – Grape Nuts Warrior 8/5 (2-star play)
He lightly-raced last year having made just the five starts finishing on the board in three of them including when beaten a neck into second in a mile-and-one-sixteenth $20,000 claiming contest at this venue at the end of December. He claimed following that contest he comes into this event on the back of a 49.32 four furlong work on the main track here and is taken to register a third career success on his first start since joining the Jorge Delgado barn.
1:38 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 4) – Bourbon Therapy 4/1 (2-star play)
He delivered a couple of solid efforts on turf in Kentucky stakes races last fall including when five-and-three-quarter-lengths sixth in the Listed Indian Summer Stakes over five-and-a-half-furlongs at Keeneland in October. Made the perfect start to his career on synthetics when delivering a neck victory in a $16,000 claiming contest over five furlongs here last month. Changed hands following that effort and is selected to complete a double stepping up in grade with Tyler Gaffalione retaining the ride.
2:38 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – She’s So Pretty 8/5 (2-star play)
She is an admirable veteran with 12 victories to her name including 11 from 26 starts on synthetic surfaces. Most recent victory came by one-and-three-quarter-lengths in a $10,000 claiming contest over a mile-and-seventy-yards here in December. Raced for trainer Sandino R Hernandez Jr that day and rejoined Hernandez’s barn having finished a good one-and-a-quarter-length second in a similar contest here last month. She had Thrilling Baby back in third that day and is selected to register her first victory of 2023.
