12:39 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 2) – Extendo 8/5 (2-star play)
Extendo was an impressive 7 3/4 length winner of a $35,000 maiden claiming contest over 5 1/2 furlongs at this track when making his debut in October. He was unable to dominate having duelled for the lead early when 9 1/2 lengths 5th over the same track and trip in an allowance optional claiming contest subsequently.
The booking of Luis Saez to ride is a positive sign and the son of Handsome Mike is taken to return to winning ways down in grade and with the drop in trip likely to suit.
1:08 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 3) – Easy As A. B. C. Evs (2-star play)
Easy As A.B.C. showed ability in a much stronger contest when placing 3rd in a mile maiden special weight on the main track at Monmouth Park in September. He has run below that form since, including when tailed off having raced very wide in a $50,000 maiden optional claimer at Gulfstream Park at the start of this month.
He gets a significant drop in grade today and the son of Arrogate is selected to break his maiden at the 6th attempt for trainer Kelly J Breen.
3:07 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Dr Post 7/5 (2-star play)
Dr Post demonstrated good form at a much higher level during summer last year, following up a win in the 9-furlong Monmouth Cup at Monmouth Park with on-the-board finishes in a pair of Grade 1s in the Pacific Classic and Woodward Stakes.
He has been absent since blowing the start in the Grade 1 Clark over 9 furlongs at Churchill Downs in November last year, but, representing a top trainer in Todd Pletcher, the 5-year-old is taken to return with a win.
