4:07 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Yes I Am Free 9/5 (2-star play)

A field of ten older horses are set to go to post for this $60,000 Handicap which is being run over five furlongs on the turf course and my attention is turned to Yes I Am Free who comes into this in a rich vein of form.

This multiple graded stakes winner loves it around here as ten of his eleven victories have been at this course and he’ll take all the beating coming in with recent form figures of 112.

4:36 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 9) – Untitled 12/1 (1-star play)

Saffie Joseph Jr’s Untitled lost his way last season after three below par efforts at this track but he has since been freshened up with four months off the track and can resume winning ways under Leonel Reyes.

His form from his 2021 campaign is more than good enough to win this so it’s just a case whether his trainer has got him back on the right track and I’m prepared to take a chance on that especially given the fact that he’s won after a lay off in the past.

5:06 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 10) – He’s in Charge 7/2 (2-star play)

The penultimate contest at Gulfstream Park is an Allowance Optional Claimer over seven furlongs in which a case can be made for most of the field but none more so than the gelding in stall two, He’s in Charge, who will appreciate this step back up in trip.

This son of Candy Ride has been running himself into good form of late and will have every chance of being able to dominate from his inside post so he could take some catching under Edgar Perez.

5:35 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 11) – Yamato 7/2 (2-star play)

When it comes to winning races the field in the finale certainly knows about that as they have won no less than 44 races between them in their careers and the one to make that 45 is five-time course winner, Yamato.

He’s a genuine performer who has won twice in this grade and comes into this off the back of two determined victories so it could take some performance to stop him in this kind of form.
