2:54 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – Panther Island 5/2 (2-star play)
Race 6 at Gulfstream Park is an Allowance Optional Claiming event over an extended five furlongs on the all-weather track, and this can go to the unbeaten Panther Island who is looking to make it four wins from four starts.
This colt has been faultless so far with three wins at this course, one of which was over this distance, and there should be much more to come from him.
3:24 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Kitty Quick 7/2 (2-star play)
Roger Laurin’s Kitty Quick was a good second over seven furlongs here on debut a couple of weeks ago, and this daughter of Adios Charlie should appreciate this step up to a mile and she can win on the second start of her career.
She showed up well on that debut outing, so if jockey Jason Huayas can get her out and into a prominent position early from stall five, then she should go close.
3:58 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Coach Jer’s Joy 8/1 (1-star play)
The penultimate race at Gulfstream Park is an open looking $51,000 Allowance Optional Claiming contest, and I like the chances of one of the outsiders in this field, Coach Jer’s Joy, who won in this grade last season.
Saffie Joseph Jr’s filly was highly tried last season having finished out of the frame in four stakes races but she did win in this company at Tampa Bay and can go well on her first start for over a year.
4:30 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 9) – Little Big 4/1 (2-star play)
A field of nine three-year-olds are set to go to post for the finale at Gulfstream Park in a race that should be dominated by the horses at the top of the market with Little Big, who showed plenty of ability when second last time out, being the selection.
This gelding was fifth on debut here back in July but improved on that when showing plenty of pace on his second start and if he can improve again then he can be tough to catch under Emisael Jaramillo.
