12:10 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 1) – Commander Flynn 3/1 (1-star play)
Placed second on two of his three previous starts including when beaten one-and-a-quarter-lengths in a mile-and-a-sixteenth contest at this level when making his turf debut here earlier this month. Raced closer to the speed than he had in two starts sprinting here prior to that effort which appeared to suit. The slight drop in distance to a mile here is no issue and Antonio Sano’s charge is selected to register a first victory at the fourth time of asking.
12:38 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 2) – Dream Of Change 8/5 (2-star play)
Placed in allowance company on turf for Chad Brown in July the daughter of Iffraaj registered a solid two-and-a-quarter-length sixth in a $35,000 claiming contest over a mile at this venue when making her debut for current trainer Fausto Gutierrez earlier this month. Disappointed on Tapeta over a mile here on her US debut in January but having won on synthetics in France she looks worth another try on this surface with Irad Ortiz taking the ride.
2:36 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – Journeytothemoon 5/2 (2-star play)
Victorious in four of her last five starts the four-year-old register a length victory in a $12,500 starter optional claiming contest over a mile-and-seventy-yards here on her most recent start. Had previously recorded a victory over this course and distance in a similar contest in October and coming into this on the back of a 49.26 four furlong work here earlier this month she looks up to registering a fifth win in seven starts on the synthetic track here.
3:05 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Expressman 9/5 (2-star play)
Made all the running to deliver a wide margin seven-and-quarter-length victory in a seven furlong ten runner maiden special weight at Saratoga on debut in August. Suffered a surprise defeat when runner-up over the same distance in an Aqueduct allowance the following month however. Showed good form in the mornings since switching to Florida and is taken to get his career back on track by scoring under Luis Saez stepping up to a mile for the first time.
3:35 pm ET Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Biz Biz Buzz 7/2 (2-star play)
Finished on the board in all three starts since a gelding operation earlier this year including when half-a-length second in a five-and-a-half-furlong allowance on a firm turf course at Laurel early last month. Had previously placed twice over six furlongs on Presque Isle Downs’ synthetics track. Comes into this contest on the back of an impressive 1:00.03 five furlong work here just under two weeks ago and the three-year-old looks up to registering a second career success.
