There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Friday, including at Gulfstream Park race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now and we are up +213.02 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!
Here are our best bets for today’s action at Gulfstream Park race track.
12:10 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 1) – Over The Channel 9/2 (1-star play)
Has competed at a higher level in the past including when placed in the Turf Classic at Tampa Bay Downs in March last year. Relatively lightly-raced since then the son of Overanalyze could finish only eighth in this years renewal of the same contest. Drop in grade appeared to suit when three-quarters-of-a-length third at this level in a mile contest on the main track here last month on his only subsequent start and he is taken to deliver a victory.
12:38 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 2) – Bedtime Story 3/1 (2-star play)
The daughter of budget sire Bee Jersey belied her low auction price of $6,000 at Ocala earlier this year when delivering a one-and-a-quarter-length victory in a five-and-a-half-furlong $16,000 maiden claiming contest here earlier this month. Made much of the running that day and with her jockey that day Edwin Gonzalez again in the saddle she is taken to maintain her unbeaten record with trainer Jose Francisco D’Angel looking to improve on a 14% strike-rate (15/106) at this meeting.
1:06 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 3) – Emperor’s Appeal 5/2 (2-star play)
The home-bred son of Empire Maker showed ability in the mornings prior to making his debut in a mile maiden special weight at Churchill Downs last month. Raced from off the pace following a slow start prior to delivering an eye-catching 2-length third on that occasion. Shown improved form with 2-minute flat 5-furlong works at Palm Meadows Training Center in recent weeks and with improvement likely Luis Saez’s mount looks up to registering a first victory.
2:06 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – Red Hurricane 5/2 (2-star play)
Held sixth on a sloppy track here on his debut for handler Kelsey Danner 3 starts back but fared much better when a neck second having raced from the front in a mile $20,000 claiming contest on a fast track here early last month. Below that form switched to turf when ridden with more restraint over a mile-and-one-sixteenth subsequently but down in grade and with a good draw in 2 he looks up to returning to winning ways.
3:35 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Tall Girl 7/5 (2-star play)
Finished on the board in all 3 starts in maiden special weight company including when runner-up, beaten a neck in a mile-and-one-sixteenth contest on a soft turf course at Delaware Park in October. Drop to $75,000 maiden claiming company appeared to suit when delivering a one-and-a-half-length victory over the same trip at Aqueduct early last month. Steps up to allowance optional claiming company here and looks capable of making her first start in Florida a winning one.
