Purchased for $24,000 at the sales earlier this year the juvenile showed good form prior to weakening when four-and-a-half-lengths fourth in a five furlong maiden special weight at this venue last month. Christopher Progno’s tracked the speed on that occasion and the daughter of Always Dreaming takes a marked step up in distance here following a 50.30 four furlong work here last week. Keiber J Coa is again in the saddle here and he can steer the youngster to victory.
2:13 pm Finger Lakes (Race 3) – Flying Emperor 2/1 (2-star play)
James T Wright’s six-year-old has won two of his last three starts including when making all the running to score by three-and-a-half-lengths on a muddy main track here in August. That victory came on a muddy track and the Soaring Empire gelding has demonstrated strong form in the mornings since including when delivering a 46.20 four furlong breeze here at the start of the month. The pick has won at stakes level in the past and can take this event.
4:38 pm Finger Lakes (Race 8) – Trust Fund 5/2 (2-star play)
The son of Practical Joke showed good form when debuting with a two-and-a-quarter-length victory in a six furlong maiden special weight at Saratoga in August. The juvenile has failed to score in two subsequent starts however he lost out by just a head when runner-up over five-and-a-half-furlongs at this venue in the Aspirant Stakes at this circuit last month. Jose Ortiz, on board in the Aspirant is again in the saddle here and he can steer his mount to victory.
