1:10pm Finger Lakes (Race 1) – Funny Pursuit 9/5
Dual winner with all bar two of her 14 career starts coming at this venue. The most recent of those two victories came when she took a claiming event over five-and-one-half-furlongs at this venue in June. She placed third subsequently but has failed to shine twice since at a higher level, including when seventh over six furlongs at this track last month. The drop in grade is a positive and she can get back to winning ways with Samuel Cardona taking the ride.
2:37pm Finger Lakes (Race 4) – Our Caravan 9/5
The winner of three of three of his last four starts in starter optional claiming company, the veteran campaigner completed a double when winning by two lengths under top jockey Andre Worrie at this track last month. Worrie is again on board for this contest and having been prominent for much of the race last time out the pair look capable of successfully employing similar tactics. This is the same trip here and Our Caravan can register a 25th career success.
3:06pm Finger Lakes (Race 5) – Iova 8/5
A debut winner in maiden claiming company at Aqueduct in January the selection has performed well in four subsequent starts including when finishing runner-up, beaten a neck in a tight finish over a mile and 70 yards at this venue last month. Iova raced prominently that day but was ridden with slightly more restraint when runner-up at this track previously. Her tactical versatility is a positive and can see her provide trainer Stacey Torelli with a winner in this competitive-looking allowance race.
