1:00 pm ET Fair Grounds (Race 1) – Allnight Moonlight 9/5 (2-star play)
Showed ability in her first two starts prior to a below par sixth over a mile on a good main track here in January. Hasn’t looked back since a change of tactics has seen him deliver all the way victories in a mile maiden special weight and a stakes contest over the same trip here. That latest effort saw him come home four lengths clear of his rivals and he looks capable of completing a hat-trick with Florent Geroux up.
2:00 pm ET Fair Grounds (Race 3) – Free Drop Maddy 7/5 (2-star play)
Victorious in three of her last four starts the daughter of Free Drop Billy disappointed when finishing a well beaten fifth over a mile at Delta Downs early last month. The return to this venue appeared to suit when delivering a two-and-a-quarter-length victory over Olivia G and New Destiny who are both in opposition here in a stake contest over a mile. Unbeaten in three starts at this venue she looks capable of extending that record to four.
3:00 pm ET Fair Grounds (Race 5) – Merlazza 9/5 (2-star play)
Demonstrated plenty of promise when narrowly beaten in a six furlong maiden special weight at this venue when making her debut in January. Impressed when drawing three-and-a-quarter-lengths clear of her rivals in a similar contest over the same track and trip subsequently. Represents a top stable in that of Brad Cox and with the step up in distance unlikely to inconvenience the daughter of Medaglia d’Oro is taken to complete a double with Florent Geroux booked to ride.
4:32 pm ET Fair Grounds (Race 8) – Adventuring 2/1 (2-star play)
Completed a double when winning the Grade 3 Ladies Marathon Stakes over a mile-and-five-sixteenths at Kentucky Downs back in September. Followed that effort up with a good fifth when beaten less than two lengths in the Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine and has finished third in Grade 3 contests on both subsequent starts. The shorter trip here shouldn’t inconvenience too much and she is taken to deliver career win number six having drawn the rail here.
6:08 pm ET Fair Grounds (Race 11) – Pretty Mischievous 8/5 (2-star play)
Victorious in four of her five starts to date the Into Mischief filly put a defeat in the Grade 2 Golden Rod at Churchill Downs in November behind her when scoring by three-and-a-quarter-lengths in a stakes contest here the following month. Duly followed up with a three-quarters-of-a-length triumph in the Grade 2 Rachel Alexandra over the same track and trip last month. Sets the standard on form and she looks up to registering her third consecutive victory.
