Horse Racing picks for Del Mar race track on Friday, November 11: Super Sugar speed

Horse Racing on dirt at Santa Anita

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Friday, including at Del Mar race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now and are up +240.24 units on our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep the momentum rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Del Mar race track.

3:30 pm Del Mar (Race 1) – Sareeha 8/5 (2-star play)

She demonstrated good form in Europe placing in a couple of maiden contests in Ireland including over seven furlongs at Leopardstown in June. She debuted for the Graham Motion barn with a second over the same trip on the main track at Woodbine in early August and caught the eye when runner-up over a mile on her return to turf at the Belmont Park At The Big A meeting in September. Taken to make her first start in California a winning one.

4:30 pm Del Mar (Race 3) – Helladic 8/5 (2-star play)

He debuted with an all the way victory in a five furlong maiden special weight contest Santa Anita at the start of May and while the Kantharos gelding missed the summer he returned with a good one-and-a-quarter-lengths second in the Listed Speakeasy Stakes over five furlongs at the same venue at the start of last month. Had a couple of his rivals here behind him that day and is selected to register a second win in three career starts.

6:00 pm Del Mar (Race 6) – Leyes Candy 5/2 (2-star play)

He was off the mark at the fourth time of asking when making all the running to score by two-and-a-half-lengths over his rival here Lemon Sushi in a maiden special weight over five-and-a-half-furlongs here in August on his penultimate start. Suffered a surprise defeat when runner-up on his first start against winners in a six furlong allowance optional claimer at Santa Anita subsequently. Returning to this venue he is selected to return to winning ways with Juan Hernandez up.

6:30 pm Del Mar (Race 7) – Spycatcher 7/2 (2-star play)

The only maiden in the field showed that he can be competitive in stronger events when finishing half-a-length second in the Grade 2 Del Mar Derby over a mile-and-one-eighth here at the start of September. Advertised his well-being with a string of works at Santa Anita in recent weeks including a 1:01.60 five furlong work on the main track last Saturday. Shorter distance here should prove no issue and he is taken to break his maiden in this stakes contest.

7:00 pm Del Mar (Race 8) – Super Sugar 5/2 (2-star play)

She has finished on the board in three of her seven starts to date including when runner-up in a $20,000 maiden claiming contest over five-and-a-half-furlongs at Los Alamitos on her penultimate start. Subsequently joined the Steve Knapp stable for whom she finished three-and-a-quarter-lengths fourth in a similar event over six furlongs. Faded late on that day and with the drop in trip here in her favour she looks up to breaking her maiden with Abel Cedillo in the saddle.
