2:45 pm ET Churchill Downs (Race 5) – On A Spree 5/2 (2-star play)
The veteran campaigner has won each of his last four starts and changed hands following the race on each occasion. The most recent of those victories saw the son of Speightstown make all the running to register a six-and-three-quarter-length victory in a $40,000 claiming contest over a mile at Ellis Park last month. The extra sixteenth here is unlikely to inconvenience and he looks capable of helping jockey Cristian A Torres improve on his 23% strike-rate (9/39) at this meeting.
3:50 pm ET Churchill Downs (Race 7) – Order Of Magnitude 8/5 (2-star play)
The son of Curlin recorded a wide margin victory in a $25,000 claiming contest at Saratoga on his penultimate start. Successful on a good main track on that occasion he registered a big effort when ridden with restraint prior to finishing two-and-a-quarter-lengths third in a similar race to this over a mile at the same venue last month. The gelding tackles a similar contest here and looks up to registering a victory on his first start at this venue.
