Horse Racing picks for Belmont Park race track on Thursday, September 15: Truancy or dare

2:00 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 3) – Crypto Mama 5/2 (2-star play)

Shown plenty of ability in two starts to date including when debuting with a fourth length second in a five-and-one-half-furlong maiden special weight at Monmouth Park on debut in July. Claimed third upped to six furlongs in a stronger looking maiden special weight at Saratoga the following month and is taken to get off the mark at the third time of asking stepped up to seven furlongs with Joel Rosario, on board last time out booked to ride.

4:07 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 7) – Mrs. Green 5/2 (2- star play)

Performed well in four starts to date following up two fourth place finishes with a good second when beaten a nose dropping to five-and-a-half-furlongs at Saratoga in July. Off the mark in impressive fashion when drawing three-and-a-half-lengths clear of her eighth rivals over the same course and distance subsequently. Step back up in distance here should prove no issue and with further improvement likely the daughter of Midnight Storm is selected to complete a double for trainer Linda Rice.

5:13 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 8) – Truancy 8/5 (2-star play)

Debuted with a solid three-and-three-quarter-lengths second in a six-and-one-half-furlong maiden special weight and went one better switched to Saratoga when making all prior to drawing three-and-a-half-lengths clear of the field in a seven furlong event at the end of July. Advertised her well-being with a 1:01.56 five furlong breeze at Saratoga earlier this month and with the step up in trip to a mile here likely to suit she is taken to score under Dylan Davis.
