1:30 pm Belmont Park (Race 2) – Major Spin 6/5 (2-star play)
Impressed when making all the running to deliver a five length victory in a seven furlong $25,000 claiming contest on a good main track at Aqueduct at the start of March. Claimed out of the Rudy Rodriguez barn following that success and showed good speed prior to fading when a well held last of fourth over six-and-a-half-furlongs when racing at the same level at Aqueduct subsequently. Looks capable of scoring dropping in grade and stepping up to a mile.
4:40 pm Belmont Park (Race 8) – Financial Advice 5/2 (2-star play)
The French-bred daughter of Wootton Bassett showed plenty of ability when tracking the speed prior to delivering a length third when making her debut in a maiden special weight over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Tampa Bay Downs in February. Missed an engagement at Aqueduct at the end of last month in a race that was moved to the main track and is selected to break her maiden at the second attempt with Irad Ortiz again in the saddle.
5:12 pm Belmont Park (Race 9) – Star Devine 3/1 (2-star play)
The five-year-old has shown a liking for this distance in the past winning two of her three starts over the trip. Those victories include a win in the Autumn Days Stakes at Aqueduct at the end of November. Jorge R Abreu’s charge has made just the one subsequent start with that coming when one-and-a-half-lengths third in a five-and-a-half-furlong Listed Stakes contest at Keeneland last month. The Fastnet Rock mare looks capable of defying a wide post position.
