Registered his sixth career success when delivering a half-length victory in a $62,500 allowance optional claiming event over an extended six furlongs here earlier this month. Subsequently claimed by Linda Rice the five-year-old was making his seasonal reappearance that day having ended 2021 competing in stakes company. Having won half of his four starts at this track the son of Discreet Cat looks capable of helping jockey Irad Ortiz Jr improve on his 30% strike-rate (15/50) at this meeting.
4:40 pm Belmont Park (Race 8) – Big Invasion 6/5 (2-star play)
Impressed when breaking his maiden in a five furlong contest at Gulfstream Park in February and has since delivered two stakes victories including when upped to five-and-one-half-furlongs for the first time in taking the Listed William Walker Stakes at Churchill Downs earlier this month. Bred to appreciate this step up in distance the son of Declaration Of War is selected to complete a four-timer for trainer Christophe Clement who can boast an impressive 29% strike-rate (12/41) at this meeting.
