Demonstrated plenty of promise in the mornings prior to making his debut at this venue last month. The son of Distorted Humor raced close to the pace prior to delivering a three-quarters-of-a-length second in a similar race to this over course and distance. Looks likely to have improved for that experience and he looks capable of providing jockey Eric Cancel and trainer George Weaver with a winner following a couple of works at Saratoga in recent weeks.
1:36 pm Belmont Park (Race 2) – Laugh And Play 8/5 (2-star play)
Impressed when delivering a two-and-three-quarter-length victory in a $25,000 allowance optional claiming contest over 6 furlongs on the synthetic track at Turfway Park in February. Put a couple of below par subsequent efforts behind her when switched to turf to finish third over 5 furlongs at Pimlico just under a month ago. Irad Ortiz, on board that day is again in the saddle here and he is taken to steer the Into Mischief filly to a fourth career win.

Successful at Group 3 level in Italy when contesting a mile-and-a-quarter-event at Milan last October the daughter of The Grey Gatsby has shown up well in both starts since joining the Christophe Clement stable. Registered a three-and-three-quarter-length third in the Grade 2 Sheepshead Bay Stakes over a mile-and-three-eighths here early last month and dropping back in distance, the 4-year-old looks capable of scoring under Joel Rosario following a 51.55 4-furlong turf work here earlier this month.
4:47 pm Belmont Park (Race 8) – Candle 2/1 (2-star play)
The City Of Light filly showed improved form when delivering a nose victory in a 6-furlong maiden special weight at Aqueduct in early November. Shug McGaughey’s charge has placed third on both starts since that effort including when four-and-a-quarter-lengths third over a mile at Aqueduct in April. Shaped as if a return to sprinting would suit on that occasion and is selected to register the second victory of her career with Javier Castellano booked to ride.
5:19 pm Belmont Park (Race 9) – Guns n’ Graces 5/2 (2-star play)
Trained by Chad Brown the selection has shown good form despite finishing off the board in her 2 outings since delivering a two-and-three-quarter-lengths second in the Grade 2 Davona Dale Stakes over a mile at Gulfstream Park in early March. Those 2 efforts include a 4-length fourth in the Grade 1 Ashland at Keeneland on her penultimate outing and she is taken to help jockey Irad Ortiz improve on his impressive 29% strike rate (37 of 126) at this meeting.
