Horse Racing picks for Belmont Park race track on Friday, July 8: Parnac can impress

Horse racing at Belmont Park

There is plenty of great horse racing across America today, including at Belmont Park race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now and we are now up +306.83 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Belmont Park.

3:34 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 6) – Bustin Bullet 12/1 (1-star play)

Race 6 at Belmont Park is a $60,000 starter allowance for the female division over 6 furlongs on the turf and I like the chances of Bustin Bullet, who toughed it out to win a maiden claimer over course and distance last time out.

Michael Miceli’s filly showed a tenacious attitude to win by half a length on that occasion, which was only the second start of her career, and if she improves again she can have a say.

4:08 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 7) – Major Spin 6/1 (1-star play)

Linda Rice has a nice gelding in Major Spin, who is learning with racing and can run a big race in this $80,000 allowance event over an extended 6 furlongs on the dirt, Race 7.

He tired in the closing stages when finishing 4th in this grade over a mile at Belmont last time out, so this drop back in trip should be ideal.

4:40 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 8) – Parnac 5/1 (2-star play)

The penultimate race at Belmont Park is a competitive $92,000 allowance over a mile on the turf in which a case can be made for a few, but none more so than the filly in stall 4, Parnac, who is using Lasix for the first time.

This is a nice daughter of Zarak who is 2 from 2, with both wins in Germany. Christophe Clement does well with this type of filly and she is making her American debut.

5:12 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 9) – Majestic Johnson 6/1 (1-star play)

A field of 16 is set to go to post for the 9th and final race at Belmont Park, which is an open-looking $45,000 maiden claiming contest over 6 furlongs on the turf and Majestic Johnson can go well in his debut.

Both his sire and dam won their first runs and connections should have her fit and ready to go as she has been kept busy with recent workouts, so it would not be a surprise should she win first time out.
