There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Saturday, including at Arlington race track. We have hit 12 winners in our last 26 races, profiting 20.4 units during this hot stretch. Let’s keep it rolling! Here are five runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.
4:01 pm Arlington (Race 4) – Richiesinthehouse 8/5
Jockey Jareth Loveberry can boast a 29% strike-rate (71/246) at this meeting and he can improve on that on the seven-year-old son of Sidney’s Candy. The selection disappointing when last of seven over a mile here in June but had excuses having likely found the mile trip stretched his stamina and having impressed in a seven furlong allowance optional claimer here prior he is taken to deliver an all the way success dropping back to six furlongs.
5:12 pm Arlington (Race 6) – Flown 3/1
Flown has shown good form in her seven race career to date finishing on the board in six of her starts including when going down by a head under today’s jockey Adam Beschizza in the Hatoof Stakes over a mile-and-three-sixteenths on a good turf track here last month. Delivered a solid 48.80 four furlong breeze at Turfway Park earlier this month and the daughter of Kitten’s Joy can register a first Graded stakes success in this fillies contest.
5:49 pm Arlington (Race 7) – Santa Barbara 2/1
Aidan O’Brien’s trainee had the misfortune of bumping into wide margin winner and stablemate Snowfall when tackling the one-mile-four-furlong Oaks at Epsom back in June and having gone down by a neck to an older rival in Thundering Nights over this trip subsequently she delivered a first top level success in the Belmont Oaks at Belmont Park last month. Ryan Moore’s mount sets the standard on form and can register a second Grade 1 success of the summer.
6:28 pm Arlington (Race 8) – Tango Tango Tango 2/1
The Jack Sisterson-trained selection delivered a solid second place finish when contesting an Ellis Park maiden special weight over a mile-and-one-sixteenth on his penultimate start. The application of blinkers appeared to bring about market improvement however when delivering a two length success in the American Derby over the same distance here last month. The son of Tourist remains open to improvement and he is taken to complete a double with Declan Cannon looking for his second win at this meet.
7:13 pm Arlington (Race 9) – Armory 9/2
The four-year-old son of Galileo delivered a top class effort when finishing third to stablemate Love and Breeders’ Cup winner Audarya in the Group 1 Prince Of Wales’ Stakes over one-mile-two-furlongs on a good-to-firm turf course at Royal Ascot in June. Disappointing in a lower grade at York subsequently the selection has shown he travels well having placed at the top level in Australia last October and he can provide trainer Aidan O’Brien with a third win in this contest.
