Jockey Manny Franco, on board that day is again in the saddle here and he looks capable of steering the daughter of Munnings to her second career success following a 52.84 four furlong work at Belmont Park recently.
2:15 pm Aqueduct (Race 5) – Vintage 9/5 (2-star play)
The three-year-old is a three time winner from nine career starts and she maintain her unbeaten record for the Jeffrey S Englehart barn when completing a double in winning by a head in an allowance at Finger Lakes at the end of August. The daughter of Army Mule had previously taken out a $16,000 claiming contest at Saratoga and switched back to a claimer she looks capable of registering a victory with Andre S Worrie up for the first time.
3:42 pm Aqueduct (Race 8) – Leading Contender 9/5 (2-star play)
The son of Gun Runner failed to shine when making his debut at Saratoga in August last year but has shown improved form since a gelding operation placing second twice since breaking his maiden at Monmouth Park in July. The mile-and-three-sixteenths distance here looks likely to suit having shaped as if further would suit when two-and-three-quarter-lengths third over a mile-and-one-eighth at Saratoga on his penultimate start and he looks up to registering his second career win with Javier Castellano booked.
