Has demonstrated plenty of ability in his four starts to date finishing on the board in three maiden special weights including at this venue the last twice. Recorded a career best figure in finishing a length second over seven furlongs here last month while finishing six lengths clear of the third home that day. Racing close to the speed appeared to suit that day and stepping up in distance he is taken score with a promising claiming jockey up.
2:52 pm Aqueduct (Race 4) – Jerry The Nipper 9/5
Lightly-raced for one his age Todd Pletcher’s charge can boast an impressive three wins from five starts record. All three of those victories have come at this venue and while he has been absent since delivering a three-and-a-half-length victory in an allowance optional claimer over this trip at the start of last year he recorded an impressive 1:00.04 five furlong breeze at Belmont Park seven days ago and he looks capable of providing jockey Jose Lezcano with a victory.
5:01 pm Aqueduct (Race 8) – Yo Cuz 1/1
Shown impressive form in stakes company since finishing fifth in a maiden special weight here in November winning two New York-bred restricted stakes contests. Made all the running for both of those victories including when winning by three-and-a-quarter-lengths in the Maddie May Stakes over a mile last month. The return to seven furlongs should prove no issue having won over this distance on her penultimate start and she can complete a hat-trick for handler Bill Mott.
