1:50 pm Aqueduct (Race 2) – Drink The Wind 7/2 (2-star play)
Placed third in a $40,000 claiming contest over six furlongs here at the end of December. Subsequently claimed and made the perfect start for the Linda Rice barn when delivering a one-and-a-quarter length victory in a seven furlong starter contest here at the start of last month. Shown good form in two works in the morning since and back in claiming company looks up to completing a double with Jose Lezcano, on board last time out taking the ride.
2:20 pm Aqueduct (Race 3) – Granny’s Connection 3/5 (3-star play)
Showed plenty of promise when runner-up in a six-and-a-half-furlong maiden on a sloppy track here when making her belated debut in December. Confirmed that she is a filly with plenty of ability when following up a seven furlong maiden success with a victory by nine-and-three-quarter-lengths in a six furlong allowance contest at this venue last month. Raced from the front on that occasion and tackling the same distance here the daughter of Connect is taken to complete a hat-trick.
3:25 pm Aqueduct (Race 5) – Majority Partner 8/5 (2-star play)
The son of Unified has won two of his four starts since joining the Linda Rice stable in July last year. The last three of those efforts have come at this venue including when victorious in an allowance optional claiming contest over six-and-a-half-furlongs on a sloppy main track here last month. Followed that up with a neck second when trying to make all upped to a mile in similar underfoot conditions recently. Looks capable of registering a fourth career win.
