3:00 pm Aqueduct (Race 4) – Princess Sonya 9/5 (2-star play)

The daughter of Effinex is lightly-raced for one her age with just four starts to her name including a debut seventh over six-and-a-half-furlongs at Belmont Park in May 2021. Her best effort today came when third a $40,000 maiden claimer over seven furlongs here on the final start of her first spell with current handler Charlton Baker. Fifth over six furlongs here last month she is looks up to getting off the mark dropping in grade with Joel Rosario up. 

3:32 pm Aqueduct (Race 5) – Daunt 9/2 (1-star play)

Trained by Robert Ribaudo the pick appeared to appreciate the drop to allowance company when delivering a head victory in a mile-and-three-eighth contest on a firm track at this venue in October. The Nyquist colt subsequently deliver a solid four-and-a-half-length fourth in the Grade 2 Red Smith Stakes over the same track and trip the following month and is taken to resume with a victory with Javier Castellano, on board for the previously mentioned allowance success booked to ride. 

5:10 pm Aqueduct (Race 8) – Today’s Flavor 8/5 (2-star play)

The selection has been in great form since joining the George Weaver barn with a run of four consecutive victories culminating in an all-the-way success in a six furlong allowance contest here in February. Came home six-and-a-half-lengths clear of his rivals that day and subsequently faded late on when one-and-three-quarter-lengths fourth in the seven furlong Grade 1 Carter Handicap here earlier this month. Sets the standard on form and the five-year-old looks up to resuming winning ways.
