Registered on the board finishes in both appearances since joining the Rudy Rodriguez barn following up a six length third in a $25,000 maiden claiming contest over a mile-and-one-eighth on a sloppy track with a second in a similar event over this course and distance on 27th January. Showed improved form when delivering a 47 second breeze over four furlongs on a good main track at Belmont Park recently and is taken to get off the mark under Manny Franco.
2:20 pm Aqueduct (Race 3) – Opportunity Set 9/5 (2-star play)
The son of Classic Empire made a highly promising debut when beaten a neck having attempted to make all in a six-and-a-half-furlong maiden special weight here in December. He was unable to dominate and was never really involved when a well beaten ten length seventh upped to a mile on a good main track here the following month. The drop in trip can see him register a victory with trainer Chad Brown boasting a 40% strike-rate (12/30) at this meeting.
2:55 pm Aqueduct (Race 4) – Tough Street 7/5 (2-star play)
Chad Brown’s filly has delivered victories in three of her last four starts with the sole defeat comping when weakening in the closing stages to finish five-and-three-quarter-lengths third over a mile in an allowance here at the end of December. Made amends for that defeat when delivering an impressive four-and-a-half-length triumph in a similar contest here in January. Sets the standard on form and is expected to prove hard to beat with Dylan Davis, on board last time out up.
3:57 pm Aqueduct (Race 6) – Howzyourcashflow 2/1 (2-star play)
A cheap $9,000 purchase at the Ocala Bloodstock Sale as a two-year-old last year the daughter of Uncaptured made the perfect start to her racing career when drawing nine-and-a-half-lengths clear of her rivals to take a six-and-a-half-furlong $20,000 maiden claiming race at this venue in January. Advertised her wellbeing with a string of works at Belmont Park since and representing a trainer in Rudy Rodriguez who does well at this track is selected to maintain her unbeaten record.
4:59 pm Aqueduct (Race 8) – Quick Tempo 2/1 (2-star play)
Completed a double when delivering an impressive eighth length victory having made all in a $12,500 starter optional claiming race at Laurel at the end of December. Delivered a couple of decent efforts at the same venue this year including when third having faded late on over five-and-a-half-furlongs there last month. Changed trainer since that effort and is taken to deliver a ninth career success with Eric Cancel booked to ride on his first start at this venue.
