He finished on the board in three of his five starts to date including twice on turf at this venue. He caught the eye when delivering a half-length second having raced from off the pace over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at this venue a month ago. He previously placed third in a six furlong event here on turf debut and he looks up to getting off the mark with jockey Irad Ortiz looking to improve on an impressive 24% strike-rate (9/37) at this meeting.
12:52 pm Aqueduct (Race 3) – Stonewall Star 3/5 (3-star play)
She impressed when delivering a four-and-a-half-length victory having made all the running in a maiden special weight on a good main track here on her second start two months ago. Ridden from third position having been slowly away prior to finishing a length second in a state-bred stakes event over six furlongs at Finger Lakes subsequently. She tackles a similar contest here and the daughter of Flatter is taken to double her career tally for trainer Horacio De Paz.
2:44 pm Aqueduct (Race 7) – Fluffy Socks 8/5 (2-star play)
She has performed well in Graded company throughout her career including when following up a half-length second in the Grade 2 Ballston Spa Stakes over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Saratoga in August with a two-and-a-half-length fourth in the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive Stakes over a mile-and-a-quarter at Santa Anita last month. That Grade 1 fourth sets the standard on form here and dropping in grade the Chad Brown-trained filly looks capable of registering a victory on her first start at this venue.
