There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Tuesday, including at Finger Lakes race track. Here are three runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.
1:10 pm Finger Lakes (Race 1) – Crossing Alaska +160
A regular at this track with all of the five-year-old mares outings in the last two years coming at this venue. The most recent of those saw her double her career tally by registering a three-and-a-quarter length victory in a claiming event over five furlongs last month. The selection raced closed to the speed that day and while she has an extra furlong to contend with here that should prove no issue with the mare looking capable of following up.
1:37 pm Finger Lakes (Race 2) – Cape May Ferry +180
Successful six times in a 38 race career to date the selection tried to make all when finishing runner-up, beaten one-and-a-half lengths in a similar race to his over this course and distance last month. Jockey Joel Cruz, on board for that contest is again in the saddle here and having put a number of disappointing efforts behind him that day he looks capable of getting out sharply from his inside draw and can prove hard to beat.
3:25 pm Finger Lakes (Race 6) – Gonna Be Dancing +250
Demonstrated ability when finishing a distant second in a maiden special weight over five furlongs when making his debut here last month. Ultimately had no chance with the all the way winner that day but it’s notable that he had a number of more experienced rivals in behind. Is expected to have improved for that effort and he can break his maiden at the second attempt with Jacqueline Davis taking the ride for Ronald Breed Jr.
