There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Thursday, including at the Thistledown track. Here are three runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.
1:50 pm Thistledown Race 3 – Templement +250
Templement made the perfect start to his time at this track when winning by a head having raced from off the pace in a six furlong allowance event at the start of this month. He can continue his good run of form with jockey Fernando Salazar Becerra taking the ride once again.
3:20 pm Thistledown Race 5 – Thursday Frost +250
It’s Thursday, and it’s a good day to pick Thursday Frost. He finished in the first two on all four previous starts, including a runner-up on his first start here in a six furlong allowance earlier this month. There was no chance to be the all the way winner that day, but Thursday Frost looks well placed to register a victory for trainer Julie A. Pappada.
3:50 pm Thistledown Race 7 – Woodland Walk +300
Woodland Walk is a veteran who has won 14 of his 35 starts, including an allowance here in November. Return to this track can see him return to the winners’ enclosure having faded tamely when down the field in a six-and-one-half furlong allowance optional claimer on the all-weather at Turfway Park.
