The selection put a below par seventh in a starter allowance on her return to this venue at the start of last month behind her when finishing a good second in a similar contest over seven furlongs here later that month. Tried to make all that day with the front two drawing well clear of the remainder. Went one better when registering an impressive four-and-three-quarter-length triumph over this six furlong distance here two weeks ago. Can complete a double.
2:52pm Parx (Race 7) – Sweet Willemina 2/1
Scott Lake’s charge was bidding to deliver a seventh consecutive victory when suffering a shock defeat when runner-up in a starter allowance over a mile-and-seventy-yards here at the start of last month. Duly returned to winning ways when shipping to Florida for the Claiming Crown Glass Slipper Starter Stakes when battling to a head victory at Gulfstream Park earlier this month. Looks capable of providing Silvestre Gonzalez with a victory having drawn the rail on her return to this venue.
3:19pm Parx (Race 8) – Sheer Flattery 9/5
Has been in good form of late winning five of his last six starts with the sole defeat in that run coming when placing third in the Grade 3 Greenwood Cup Stakes over and one-and-a-half-miles here on his penultimate start. Delivered a two-and-a-half-length victory dropped to this trip in a starter allowance contest here two months ago and coming here on the back of a couple of decent breezes here he can register his fourteenth career success.
