2:13 pm Parx (Race 5) – Trupia 3/1
A son of War Front, he wasn’t unfancied in the market on debut at Delaware last month. Racing inside throughout, he just missed the show after rallying well in the stretch. That was a very promising performance and with natural improvement, a big step forward can be expected on his second start. This is a rare Parx runner for Jorge Duarte Jr and if he does progress as expected, he’s going to play a leading hand.
3:34 pm Parx (Race 8) – Seanow 3/1
Jamie Ness’s five-year-old is on a roll at present, winning five of his last six starts. That sequence started at Parx back in May, with four subsequent successes coming at Delaware. Most recently, he got up in the nick of time in a $32,000 allowance optional claiming race, pulling nine lengths clear with the runner-up. His consistency makes him a strong bet and returned to Parx, where he’s a perfect one from one, he can maintain his unbeaten record at the venue.
4:01 pm Parx (Race 9) – Secret Banker 9/2
A debut winner at Parx back in June, she’s run to a very good standard in subsequent allowance starts at Penn National. That includes a win in a $31,600 event and, most recently, a narrow third in the New Start Stakes. He showed up well for a very long way in that contest and that bodes well for him now he’s dropped back into this grade. Jamie Ness is enjoying a strong year at Parx and we likely haven’t seen the best of this filly yet.
