There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Tuesday, including at Indiana Grand race track. Here are three runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.
5:00 pm Indiana Grand (Race 6) – Air Show +140
Starting his career at Oaklawn Park, Thomas Amoss’ charge built on three promising opening runs with an impressive success on his first start at Indiana Grand. He took another step in the right direction when third in a starter allowance event at Churchill Downs last time and this is calmer waters for him. He remains totally unexposed, especially over this track and distance, and his performance against better calibre horses last time makes him the one to beat.
5:31 pm Indiana Grand (Race 7) – Speed Zone +1000
This daughter of Distorted Humor made her debut at Churchill Downs back in May, sent off second-favourite. Although she ran below market expectations, it’s obvious that better was expected and she’s subsequently joined the in-form Thomas Amoss table. On paper, this is a weaker race than she faced on debut, and any amount of improvement can be expected from her first run to her second. Drawn perfectly in gate one, she certainly looks overpriced under Jermaine Brighmohan.
6:02 pm Indiana Grand (Race 8) – Ollie’s Gold +180
Sent off a short-priced favourite for Wesley Ward on debut at Keeneland, she shaped with a hint of promise in fourth when inexperience perhaps got the better of her. Joining Anna Meah for her next start, she made no mistake, winning at Arlington with plenty to spare. Given the way she controlled the race, drawing gate one is a blessing for this speedy filly. She’s totally unexposed as she makes her first start against winners and if they allow her any free reign early on, she won’t be for catching in the stretch.
