There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Wednesday, including at Finger Lakes race track. We have been crushing our horse picks for several months now (up 193.05 units dating back to Aug. 5). We also hit a 6/1 winner on Friday, picked three winners in five races on Saturday, and picked two winners out of two races on Sunday. Let’s maintain the momentum!
Here are four runners whom we expected to have a leg up on the rest of the competition. It’s time to dive in and discuss these potentially profitable plays.
2:45 pm Finger Lakes (Race 6) – Anything Pazible 4/1
Race 6 at Finger Lakes is a $19,400 Starter Optional Claiming contest over six furlongs and this one can go to the gelding in stall two, Anything Pazible, who is a seven time winner at this course and remains in great form. He won three races here in September and has won at a higher grade than this so I see no reason why he shouldn’t go well again especially given the fact he has a perfect draw in which to stalk the pace.
3:12 pm Finger Lakes (Race 7) – Kodiak Brown 2/1
The $24,000 Allowance at Finger Lakes, which is Race 7 on the card, is a competitive affair in which a case can be made for a few at the top of the market with preference is for Kodiak Brown who has run well in this grade the last twice and looks set to get his head in front here. This four-year-old had mostly been plying his trade in Claimers but connections have decided to step him up in grade and he’s managed to finish second and third and hopefully this time things will fall right for him and he can notch up his first Allowance win.
3:39 pm Finger Lakes (Race 8) – Sneads 8/1
Timothy Murphy’s Sneads is on a roll having won his last two starts at this course and another bold bid is expected in Race 8 at Finger Lakes. Both of those wins were authoritative displays in Allowance races and he tackles the same company again here, albeit over six furlongs which is two furlongs shorter than those victories, but he is a gutsy horse who could take some passing if getting into a prominent position and taking it up in the stretch.
4:06 pm Finger Lakes (Race 9) – Molcajete 10/1
An open looking $32,100 Maiden Special Weight over an extended five furlongs is the ninth and final race at Finger Lakes and there’s some value in Molcajete who I feel will only get better with experience so with three runs already under his belt it would not surprise should he pop up at a price. Form figures here read 437 and he’s gone off a short price favourite for all three of those runs so he must be showing something at home so I’m prepared to ignore his latest effort and hopefully he can continue on an upward curve and win this.
