There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Wednesday, including at Finger Lakes race track. Here are three runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.
3:25 pm Finger Lakes (Race 6) – Thesis +350
Race 6 at Finger Lakes is a $12,600 Claiming contest over an extended mile on the dirt surface and this one can go to Thesis. This five-year-old gelding has won twice around the twists and turns of this course, one of which was in the same company as this, and he even managed to win at Allowance level at Aqueduct back in 2019. He has also been placed many times here so there is no reason to believe that he doesn’t have a big chance again and he can go well from stall four.
3:42 pm Finger Lakes (Race 7) – Lovelee Honor +1000
Lovelee Honor is drawn widest of all in stall nine in Race 7 at Finger Lakes but that shouldn’t matter as this filly could be about to visit the winners circle on her first start in Claiming company. This daughter of Honorable Dillon has only won once from seven starts but that was an easy four and three quarter length win over five furlongs at this course on her penultimate start and this extra half a furlong should not be an issue for her.
4:18 pm Finger Lakes (Race 8) – J Fich +300
The penultimate race at Finger Lakes is a competitive $25,800 Allowance contest over an extended mile trip on the dirt and J Fich looks to hold every chance in this. All five of his lifetime starts have been at this course where he has managed to win a Maiden Special Weight and still seems to be learning with racing as recent form figures in this grade read 43 so there could be more improvement to come. His profile looks fitting for a race of this nature and he should go well for trainer Michael LeCesse and his team.
4:46 pm Finger Lakes (Race 9) – Out Of Tune +500
Out Of Tune is drawn on the inside and he may take some catching from there in the last race at Finger Lakes, a weak looking $13,500 Maiden Claimer over an extended five furlongs. He is still a maiden after five starts but has acquitted himself well on a couple of occasions before tiring in the finish so from stall one I believe he has every chance of making every yard of the running against horses that are more than beatable.
