Placed in 3 of his 4 previous starts Chad Brown’s charge sets the standard here following a good 2-length second in a maiden special weight over a mile at this venue early last month. Had previously placed third when beaten 3 lengths in a similar contest here back in December and having advertised his wellbeing with a solid 48.48 four furlong breeze at Belmont Park earlier this month he looks capable of breaking his maiden at the fifth attempt.
3:54 pm Aqueduct (Race 6) – Awesome Aaron 4/5
Drawn widest of all in gate 7 here the selection is improving with racing when having debuted with a 5th-place finish when fading over six furlongs in a Gulfstream Park maiden special weight in January he took a step forward upped to a mile-and-one-eighth when beaten a head in a similar event at this venue. The front two finished clear of their 5 rivals that day and Manny Franco’s mount is taken to deliver a victory here.
5:32 pm Aqueduct (Race 9) – My Boy Tate 9/5
A regular in stakes company the son of Boys At Tosconova delivered a second place finish when beaten 4-and-a-quarter-lengths by an all the way winner in the Hollie Hughes Stakes over 6 furlongs here last month. Has been racing over sprint distances in recent times including when fourth in a stakes event over 7 furlongs here on his penultimate start but was a neck winner of this race 12 months ago and he can deliver a repeat victory.
