1:20 pm Aqueduct (Race 2) – Larz 2/1 (2-star play)
Impressed when drawing eight-and-a-quarter-lengths clear of his rivals when successfully making all the running in a $30,000 maiden claimer over 6 furlongs here on debut at the start of December. Unable to dominate with a wet track was possibly to blame when struggling over the same trip in a $50,000 starter optional claimer here just over a month ago. Gets an easier contest here and is selected to double his career tally with Kendrick Carmouche booked to ride.
1:50 pm Aqueduct (Race 3) – Glory Road 9/5 (2-star play)
Victorious in 2 of his 3 starts since joining the Orlando Noda barn in March last year, including by one-and-three-quarter-lengths in a $40,000 six furlong claimer held on a muddy track here at the start of last month. Extra furlong here is no issue having won half of his 4 starts over this trip and with regular pilot Dylan Davis up the six-year-old son of Commissioner is selected to register a fourth win in 6 starts at this venue.
2:20 pm Aqueduct (Race 4) – Two Redheads 1/1 (2-star play)
Improving with racing, having debuted with a heavy defeat when 10th in a five-and-a-half-furlong maiden special weight at Woodbine in early November. Appeared to appreciate the step up to a mile for the first time when 5 lengths second over this course and distance on a good main track here last month. Making her debut for current trainer Linda Rice that day and with a good draw in 3 looks capable of breaking her maiden at the fourth attempt.
3:55 pm Aqueduct (Race 7) – Mosienko 2/1 (2-star play)
Completed a four-timer when delivering a head victory in an allowance optional claiming contest over six-and-a-half-furlongs at this venue in early October. Failed to shine upped to stakes company when last of 8 in the Iroquois here later that month, however. Put that disappointment behind her when half-a-length third in a 6-furlong event on a muddy track in December. Registered a couple of works this year and the daughter of Hat Trick looks up to returning to winning ways.
4:26 pm Aqueduct (Race 8) – October Bliss 6/5 (2-star play)
Showed glimpses of ability in his first 2 starts here but took a big step forward when one-and-a-quarter-lengths third in a similar race to this over course and distance at the end of December. Joined the barn of current handler Linda Rice following that effort and with jockey Eric Cancel on board last time out retaining the ride the son of Destin looks capable of helping his handler improve on her 25% strike rate (14 of 56) at this meeting.
