Entitle to improve for that effort and the son of Will Take Charge is taken to double his career tally following a 48.60 four furlong work here recently.
5:38 pm Santa Anita (Race 4) – Piroli 5/2 (2-star play)
The son of Battle Of Midway is selected to get off the mark at the fourth time of asking following two second place finishes at this venue this campaign. Followed up a two-and-a-quarter-length defeat over this trip with a five-and-a-half-length second over a mile-and-one-hundred-and-seventy-yards here early last month. Likely to track the pace and having been in good form in the mornings since can help jockey Juan J Hernandez improve on his 22% strike-rate (60/268) at this meeting.
7:12 pm Santa Anita (Race 7) – Thrumps Dream 5/2 (2-star play)
The winner of a mile contest on synthetics at Dundalk in Ireland back in February of last year the daughter of Dark Angel has shown improvement with each race since switching to the Richard Baltas barn. Third in an allowance over six-and-one-half-furlongs at this venue first up this campaign she appeared to appreciate the return to this trip when winning an allowance optional claimer by one-and-a-quarter-lengths here at the end of last month. Looks up to completing a double.
