Tight end Rob Gronkowski will be reuniting with his former New England Patriots quarterback in Tampa Bay as they should be winning quite the games this upcoming season. If you’re interested in wondering which games they might win, take a look at our game-by-game prediction for the Buccaneers. Without a doubt, Gronkowski and Tom Brady hold a special bond that will only continue to grow while they play for the Buccaneers in 2020.
Even though the connection between Gronk and Brady seemed to be perceived as the main reason for the tight end to come out of retirement, it was not the top reason why the 31-year old picked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a recent interview with The Ellen Show, Gronk spoke the real reason why he wanted to play with Tampa Bay.

“You know, everyone keeps asking me, ‘Did Tom Brady get you to Tampa?’ Well, of course, it didn’t hurt that Tom went to Tampa, you know, and the opportunity to go to Tampa was there too,” he said. “But you know, Tom was like the appetizer, and then there are a few other reasons. I love the weather, but the main course, the main reason why I came down to Tampa to play is that my mother lives two hours away.
“She can get to all the games, all eight of our home games. Whenever I have days off, she’s two hours down the street and I get to see her. So she’s super excited.”
Gronk and Brady might have a strong connection, but it seems the connection of the veteran tight end and his mother is everlasting. As stated above, of course the six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback had some key part in the return of Gronk, but the true reason is out of the bag. Now Tampa Bay will start the 2020 season with one of the highest profiled offenses with the likes of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cameron Brate, OJ Howard, Ronald Jones II, and of course the duo of Brady and Gronk.
At the moment, Tampa Bay currently has a 9.5 win total with odds to win the NFC South at +200.
