NBA

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. This will be an incredibly significant night for both the Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors. Win and you get to take on a Houston Rockets team that lacks postseason experience, and get a great chance of making a deep playoff run. Lose and you have to win one more game against the Sacramento Kings or Dallas Mavericks, with the prospect of taking on the juggernaut that is the Oklahoma City Thunder. It goes without saying that this looks set to be a fantastic matchup, and I’ve pieced together my Grizzlies vs Warriors Same Game Parlay picks at +625 odds. Let’s dive in, while you can also get our NBA picks for EVERY postseason game!

Stephen Curry under 5.5 made threes (-130)

Zach Edey over 19.5 points & rebounds (-115)

Draymond Green over 1.5 made threes (+135)

Stephen Curry (GS) under 5.5 made threes (-130)

Steph Curry exploded for 12 three-pointers in the last meeting between the Grizzlies and Warriors, but he could have issues replicating that here. Since that game, he has managed 6 or more threes in just 2 of the 7 games — and in the previous 2 games against them this season before his explosion, he had shot just 3 of 14 from deep combined.

The Grizzlies have tough and physical defenders like Desmond Bane who they can throw at Curry here while Jaren Jackson Jr. and Zach Edey are not the easiest guys for anyone to shoot over either. In a game of this magnitude, I expect the Grizzlies to be forcing the ball out of Curry’s hands throughout. Curry should have more success getting into the paint tonight and pulling the strings from there.

Zach Edey (MEM) over 19.5 points & rebounds (-115)

Ever since the coaching change in Memphis, the Grizzlies have relied more heavily on Edey, with the center managing at least 30 minutes of playing time in 4 of his last 6 games. During that stretch, he has pulled down 15.7 rebounds per game. He will have to make himself a presence in the paint tonight, especially on the offensive end, if he will look to stay on the floor.

The Warriors are in the bottom half of the league in opponent offensive rebounds per game over the last 10, so the Canadian should get plenty of opportunities to be a force on that end of the floor. Being matched up against a much smaller opponent in Draymond Green should allow him to effectively convert these chances to points and put together a strong line in these categories. Let’s go with a productive night from Edey for the next leg of our Grizzlies vs Warriors Same Game Parlay.

Draymond Green (GS) over 1.5 made threes (+135)

One player who the Grizzlies will be happy to see shooting the ball from deep will be Green, and the Warriors star should have the ability to make them pay for it. He is coming into this game after a 4 three-pointer performance against the Clippers and is shooting a respectable 35.5% from beyond the arc this month. He has been able to hit the over on this line in 2 of the 4 games against the visitors this season. What is encouraging is that during those games he attempted 6 threes on one occasion and 7 on another two. If he gets to that level of shot output here, his recent efficiency indicates this is a great value addition to our SGP.
