There are 5 games tonight in the NHL. We’re looking to parlay 3 of the games into a bet that will hopefully pay out at just under 10/1. But before we dive in, be sure to check out all of our picks and previews for every game tonight.

Lightning vs Bruins over 6 goals (+100)

Hurricanes -1.5 (+145)

Wild ML (-105)

Parlay odds: +957

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one:

Boston Bruins vs Tampa Bay Lightning over 6 goals (+100)

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins are both in desperate need of 2 points tonight and this is going to be a tight and competitive game. While it might be tough to choose a winner, take this game to hit the over. The way both of these teams have been playing, the over is in play every night. In the Lightning’s last 5 games, the over has hit every time. In the Bruins’ last 6 games, it has hit 5 times. Both teams excel at scoring goals, and lately they’ve both been struggling on defense too. Andrei Vasilevskiy is getting the start for the Lightning. In his last 2 starts, he’s allowed a combined 10 goals. If he continues to struggle, the over should hit. Both teams have a solid powerplay, with the Lightning having the 9th-best and the Bruins having the 12th-best in the league. Take over 6 goals in this game.

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 vs New York Islanders (+145)

The Carolina Hurricanes are coming off an impressive win over the Sabres last night. After finding themselves down 3-1, the Hurricanes rallied, scoring 4 unanswered not only to win the game but to cover the spread as well. The Hurricanes elected to start their backup last night, which means Frederick Andersen will be getting the start in net tonight. He’s been fantastic for the Canes this season, posting a 33-12-3 record with a 2.07 GAA and .925 SVP. Against the New York Islanders, who don’t score many goals, expect Andersen to have a very solid night. The Isles are one of the worst offensive teams in the league. They’re averaging the 9th-fewest goals per game, the 4th-fewest shots per game and their powerplay is only operating at 20.1%. Meanwhile, the Canes are easily the best defensive team in the league, allowing the fewest goals per game, the fewest shots per game and having the best penalty-kill. Take Carolina on the puck line.

Minnesota Wild ML vs St. Louis Blues (-105)

This is a very likely playoff first-round matchup and both teams will be looking to set a precedent tonight. While the St. Louis Blues are on a 3-game winning streak, the Minnesota Wild have been one of the hottest teams in the league, going 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. Additionally, the Wild are seeking revenge for the last time these divisional rivals met. The Blues defeated the Wild 6-4 in January. Goaltending could make the difference tonight. The Wild have averaged a combined .939 SVP in their last 10 games. In that same stretch of games, the Blues are averaging just a .892 SVP. The Blues are allowing 3.2 goals per game over their last 10, the Wild are allowing just 1.9. This is bound to be a close matchup, but the Wild provide great value for a team that has won 8 of 10 and is getting the best goaltending of their season. Take the Wild on the money line.
