Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.
Philadelphia Flyers ML over the Ottawa Senators (+120)
The Philadelphia Flyers are rumored to have lost their captain, Claude Giroux, in a trade to the Florida Panthers. But that might not necessarily be a bad thing. It’s a popular trend in hockey for a team to lose a skilled player, playing an important role for the team, and come out strong the next game. Think of the Buffalo Sabres losing Jack Eichel, or the New York Islanders with John Tavares — these teams were able to rally behind their captains leaving the team. Tonight could be a similar situation.
For Giroux’s 1000th game last night, the Flyers pulled off a big win, and despite playing on the road here tonight, they’ll be entering the game with a ton of momentum and energy. It also helps that they’re playing the Ottawa Senators, who are entering this game on a three-game losing streak. The Senators have also just lost their number one defenceman, Thomas Chabot, for the remainder of the season. Without him on the backend, the Sens are about to be exposed for how important he is for the team. Take the Flyers on the money line tonight.

Boston Bruins ML over the Winnipeg Jets (-111)
The Boston Bruins are looking at the standings in the Atlantic Division as a very climbable mountain. They have just 21 games left in the season and are four points behind the Maple Leafs for the third spot, and five points behind the Lightning for the second spot. The Bruins are a team that thrives off of home-ice advantage in the playoffs, and that will be their goal for the next 21 games, but it starts one game at a time. In the Bruins’ last 10 games, they’ve won seven. They’re heating up at the right time.
The last time the Bruins and Winnipeg Jets met, the Bruins won 3-2. Defensively, they’ve been a much better team than the Jets this season. The Bruins are only allowing 2.67 goals per game, the fifth-fewest in the NHL as well as allowing just 29 shots on goal per game, the third-best. The Bruins have also had much better goaltending than the Jets this season. Jeremy Swayman is expected to start for the Bruins and he’s posting an impressive 2.09 GAA and .925 SVP. Take the Bruins on the money line tonight.

Florida Panthers -1.5 over the Anaheim Ducks (+115)
The Florida Panthers are rumored to have made the biggest splash for this trade deadline by acquiring Claude Giroux. While Giroux won’t be with the team for tonight’s game, the idea that this already stacked team will be adding an elite top-six forward will likely excite the entire team. More importantly, someone who’s on the roster right now will soon be traded or sent down to the minors. This possibility will only push these bottom-six skaters to be playing at the top of their game, if they have a bad game, they might be seen as expendable.
After a loss last night to the Vegas Golden Knights, the Panthers will be looking to bounce back tonight against the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks are entering tonight’s matchup on a five-game losing streak. The team is missing some key players, Ryan Getzlaf, Jakob Silverberg and Rickard Rakell are all out with various injuries. Lacking the depth that the Panthers possess, the Ducks are in trouble tonight. Don’t overthink this one, take the Panthers on the puck line here.
