EPL pick today: Newcastle United ML over Nottingham Forest (-150), 4:00 pm ET
Newcastle got firmly back in the race for Champions League qualification from the EPL with a good 2-1 win over Wolves on Sunday and the Magpies can strengthen their top-4 chances with a win at Nottingham Forest this afternoon. They had failed to win any of their 5 league games prior to the victory over Wolves, but Newcastle’s performances had remained at a high level during that run and it seemed only a matter of time before they got back to winning.
Forest on the other hand, put in a pretty tepid display when losing 3-1 to Spurs on Sunday, and while there may be some improvement from them back at the City Ground, it’s unlikely to be enough to stop Newcastle leaving with 3 points.

March Madness pick today: Memphis Tigers ML over Florida Atlantic Owls (-135), 9:20 pm ET
Memphis comes into this game as AAC Tournament champs after demolishing Tulane in the semifinals and taking care of a Marcus Sasser-less Houston squad in the finals. They are playing very well as of late, ranking in the top 25 in adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency since February 11th per BartTorvik with an 8-2 SU record in that time (both losses to Houston by single digits).
FAU also ranks in the top 25 defensively over roughly the last month, as the Owls are 8-1 SU since February 11th and Conference USA Tournament champs. However, they are outside the top 60 in adjusted offensive efficiency in that time frame, which is a bit worrisome against Memphis’s physicality, experience, and defensive prowess. Given that their offense can be inconsistent, backing Memphis to pick up the win will be the play.

March Madness pick today: Kansas State Wildcats -8 over Montana State Bobcats (-110), 9:40 pm ET
Montana State ended up winning the Big Sky Conference tournament, getting by Northern Arizona in the title game. While Montana State won the 3 tourney games, it failed to cover in the semis and the championship game. In fact, Montana State is just 3-6 ATS across the past 9 games overall.
On the other side, Kansas State was ranked for a good chunk of the season, and this is a team that won’t be fazed facing a Big Sky team after going through the ultra-competitive Big 12 Conference. The overall body of work for the Wildcats is impressive, and this team has wins over Baylor (twice), Iowa State, Kansas, TCU, Texas and West Virginia, all NCAA Tournament teams from the conference, while also topping Nevada in an out of conference game. Given that Kansas State is more battle-tested, backing them to cover will be the play.

March Madness pick today: TCU Horned Frogs -5.5 over Arizona State Sun Devils (-110), 10:05 pm ET
Arizona State and TCU face each other in Denver in the nightcap tonight to end the first round of play. Arizona State is a good defensive team, but they have very little offense. Even in a weak Pac-12, they had a middling season and never showed much on the offensive end, ranking 133rd per KenPom.
TCU, on the other hand, is an even better defense (top 20) with a pretty good offense. They check in at 53rd per KenPom, but bear in mind that they played for several weeks without their best player, Mike Miles. Because TCU has proven to be the more consistent offense, backing them to win and cover will be the play tonight.
