FA Cup pick today: Manchester United ML over Everton (-330), 3:00 pm ET

The FA Cup third round comes at a busy time but Manchester United can showcase its roster depth by cruising to a comfortable victory over Everton at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The Red Devils have gained plenty of points and confidence before and since the World Cup and, while the FA Cup draw could have been kinder, taking on a fellow EPL team does not have to signal the end of their challenge. Everton manager Frank Lampard won 4 FA Cup winner’s medals as a player but his team is now focused on avoiding relegation and could be in for a tough time in Manchester. For that reason backing Manchester United to cruise to a win will be the play.

NBA pick today: Toronto Raptors -3.5 over New York Knicks (-110), 7:40 pm ET

The Toronto Raptors ended the New York Knicks’ 8-game winning streak in December, taking a 113-106 victory on the road. Tonight they will get a chance to get their 2nd win against them when the teams play in Toronto. The visitors will be without RJ Barrett tonight, which will be massive miss for the team. He scored 30 points when the sides last faced off.

Neither of these teams get much scoring from their 2nd units, meaning it will come down to the starters . The Knicks will have to figure out how to stop Pascal Siakam here seeing that he dropped a career-high 52 points when they last met. With Gary Trent Jr. in great form and O.G. Anunoby making 38.6% of his 3-pointers over the last 10 games, the Raptors have reliable enough shooters to stop the Knicks sending double-teams his way without getting punished. For that reason backing the Raptors to pick up a win and cover will be the play.

NHL pick today: Arizona Coyotes vs Chicago Blackhawks – Under 6 goals (+100), 8:37 pm ET

While neither team can stop the puck very well which bodes well for the over, they also cannot score very well which bodes well for the under. The Blackhawks have scored 1 or no goals in 10 of their last 14. Chicago scores just 2.16 goals per game which would be overachieving based on their current production.

Arizona has actually produced at a decent clip lately. They have scored 18 goals in their last 4 games. However, even if they continue to produce at that average of 4.5 goals per game — which of course is not likely with this team — Chicago would still need to contribute a couple goals to go over the total. There just isn’t enough goal production between these teams to count on the over hitting. For that reason backing the under looks to be the best play.

NHL pick today: San Jose Sharks vs Anaheim Ducks – Over 6.5 goals (+100), 10:07 pm ET

This is the 4th meeting between the two teams and every game has finished with a ton of goals. Neither team has had amazing goaltending this season, so the high-scoring affairs aren’t surprising. Anaheim has struggled to score goals, but they are still allowing 4 goals per game. San Jose has some talented players up front who can certainly find the back of the net. This game will likely feature scoring chances on both sides, which hopefully will lead to another high-scoring game between these two Pacific Division teams.
