XFL pick today: Seattle Sea Dragons -5 over Arlington Renegades (-110), 7:00 pm ET
Seattle has won 4 games in a row, all by 4 points or more and 4 of its last 5 games by 7 points or more. This team goes as QB Ben DiNucci goes, and although he has generally played well, he still leads the league in interceptions with 8.
The Renegades, on the other hand, are 2nd in the league in interceptions with 7 but have scored only 6 total touchdowns on offense this season. Because of the struggles Arlington has had scoring, backing Seattle to win and cover will be our play.

NHL pick today: New York Rangers vs Buffalo Sabres – Over 6.5 goals (-110), 7:07 pm ET
The Rangers had been in fine scoring form until running into the Devils last night. Previously they had scored 44 goals in their last 11 games and 36 goals in their last 8. During that span, they scored 5 goals once, 6 goals twice and 7 goals once.
The Sabres have the NHL’s 4th-worst goal prevention and 2nd-worst penalty kill. In Buffalo’s last 10 games, they have allowed 47 goals. In 5 of those games they allowed 5+ goals including a 10-goal onslaught at the hands of the Stars. On the offensive side, the Sabres score the 3rd-most goals per game in the NHL. Because both of these offenses have been clicking, backing the over will be our play tonight.

NHL pick today: Calgary Flames ML over Vancouver Canucks (-125), 10:00 pm ET
One of the late games on tonight’s 4-game NHL slate takes place between these Pacific Division opponents. Vancouver hasn’t been quite as bad this month, but the Canucks are still coming off a loss to a St. Louis Blues team that was one of the biggest sellers at the trade deadline. Meanwhile, the Flames are coming off a win over a hot Los Angeles Kings team, that is 7-1-2 in the last 10 games and fighting for the Pacific Division lead.
The Canucks also traded their former captain Bo Horvat just prior to the trade deadline. Because of that fact and given that Calgary’s playoff hopes are not dead yet, backing the Flames to win tonight will be our play.

MLB pick today: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 over Arizona Diamondbacks (-115), 10:10 pm ET
Arizona’s Merrill Kelly made 5 starts against the Dodgers last year with 3 of the outings were in Arizona and the other 2 in L.A. In 16 innings at home against the Dodgers, he allowed 9 runs on 17 hits. But when he started at Dodger Stadium, he allowed 13 runs on 13 hits with 6 walks in 8 innings. That raised his career stats to an 0-4 record, 6.97 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP in the Dodgers’ home park. The Dodgers are hitting .317 with a .933 OPS against Kelly at home, and that should help them provide more than enough run support for Dustin May.
