FA Cup soccer pick today: Arsenal +0.5 over Manchester City (+110), 3:00 pm ET

There is a significant drop-off between Arsenal’s first-choice lineup and their backups and the Gunners were beaten 3-1 at home by Brighton in the Carabao Cup before the World Cup. Seven players, 6 of whom went to the World Cup, have started all 19 of Arsenal’s league games and inspirational captain Martin Odegaard has made the starting lineup 18 times. Fast starts have been a feature of Arsenal’s success this season and it may pay to back them to keep this game close. The Gunners have allowed only 1 first-half goal in 10 EPL road games and have led at halftime in 7 of those matches. For that reason, backing Arsenal to at least draw will be the play.

NBA pick today: Milwaukee Bucks -8.5 over Indiana Pacers (-110), 7:10 pm ET

Indiana knows a thing or two when it comes to injuries to your best player. Tyrese Haliburton will remain sidelined for this game, and the Pacers are 2-8 SU in their 10 games without him this season. After ending a 6-game losing streak against Chicago, they reverted to losing at Orlando in their next game. They have covered the spread just once in 7 games and could also be without Myles Turner, who left the last game with an ankle injury.

With a 4-1 SU/ATS record for Milwaukee in the last 5 head-to-head meetings and all the injuries currently happening to the Pacers roster, I think backing the Bucks is an easy decision. They have to keep winning to keep up with the 76ers in the East standings, so I’m backing the Bucks to cover on the road.

NBA pick today: Cleveland Cavaliers ML over Oklahoma City Thunder (-110), 8:10 pm ET

These teams have been great on the defensive end over the last 10 games, ranking 5th and 6th in defensive rating. However, the Thunder could struggle to live up to those standards today without Luguentz Dort.

The Cavaliers on the other hand, should be able to dominate the battle on the inside thanks to the size of their frontline. The Thunder are 24th over the last 10 games in opponent offensive rebounds per game. Look for Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley to have success in this area cleaning up the visitors misses. The Thunder are 3rd in points in the paint during that stretch but could find those points harder to come by with the length of the Cavaliers. For that reason, backing the Cavaliers to win will be the play.

NHL pick today: Vancouver Canucks ML over Columbus Blue Jackets (-180), 10:07 pm ET

On paper Vancouver is a better team with a roster including many bright young stars. This has also been proven on the ice, because the Blue Jackets have a 31%-win rate and the Canucks have a 40% rate. While games involving weakly performing teams like these two can be challenging to predict, the pick here is the Canucks without a question. They should be itching to bounce back and the NHL’s worst team is the perfect opportunity to do so. I am all in with Vancouver to secure a win on home ice.
