College football: Troy Trojans +2.5 over UTSA Roadrunners (-110), 3:30 pm ET
This game will be a battle between an offense-focused team and a defense-focused team. UTSA averages 38.7 points and 486 yards per game. They have blown out several teams they have played, especially in the last 4 weeks but are also 7-6 against the spread. They are facing a Troy team that only allows 17.5 points per game and 325 yards per game. The Trojans are 11-2 straight up and 10-3 against the spread. Troy is playing for the most wins in program history with 12. For that reason, backing the Trojans will be the play.

NBA: Philadelphia 76ers -8.5 over Golden State Warriors (-110), 7:40 pm ET
The Warriors just can’t seem to catch a break at the moment. The injuries are starting to pile up as Andrew Wiggins, Andre Iguodala, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green could all miss tonight’s game in Philly. Golden State is just 3-12 ATS in its last 15 at Philadelphia, and on the road the Warriors have only 3 wins in 15 games this season.
Philadelphia, on the other hand, is coming off a game against the Sacramento Kings in which it put up 80 first-half points in a 123-103 win. That win was the 76ers’ 5th straight at home, and the last 3 were decided by 11, 18 and 20 points. They have successfully covered the spread in 10 straight games at the Wells Fargo Center and are also 5-1 SU in their last 6 games against opponents from the Pacific Division. Because they are the healthier team and are going up against a team that has struggled all season on the road, backing the Sixers will be the play.

NHL: Minnesota Wild -1.5 over Chicago Blackhawks (-145), 8:07 pm ET
The Chicago Blackhawks travel north for a 1-game road trip against the division rival Minnesota Wild. Defensively, there is no confidence the Blackhawks can stop the Wild attack. In the past month, the Blackhawks rank last in goals allowed per game with a mark of 4.5. This high number of goals allowed can be attributed to the amount of scoring chances they allow, as they rank 31st in expected goals against.
When you look at the Blackhawks’ offense, there isn’t much there, either. They rank last in expected goals as well as rank 31st in goals per game since mid-November. On top of that, they will be going up against the top-ranked team in the Wild in expected goals against. Because of the talent gap in this game, backing the Wild to win on the puck line will be the play.

College basketball: Marquette Golden Eagles -4 over Creighton Bluejays (-110), 8:30 pm ET
Creighton is looking to break up a 5-game losing streak. With the hype the Bluejays had coming into the season, losing fewer than 5 games for the season seemed likely, but now they have to dig themselves out of a hole.
Marquette, on the other hand, is off to a very good start considering it is missing its best player from a year ago. The Golden Eagles have 3 losses but none of them were by more than 5 points and they pushed Purdue, the top team in the country. This is a tough team that has a little bit of everything and they play well at home. For that reason, backing the Golden Eagles will be the play.
