Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff will be back in action as the French Open continues with fourth-round action on Monday. On the men’s side, a wide-open bottom half of the draw features Holger Rune, Alexander Zverev, and Grigor Dimitrov, who are also aiming for quarterfinal spots.
Following another profitable 2-1 performance on Sunday, I still have momentum behind me. Let’s take a look at the best bets to be made on the Day 9 schedule at Roland Garros.

Anna Karolina Schmiedlova +5.5 games over Coco Gauff (-110)
With the way Schmiedlova is playing so far at Roland Garros, getting 5.5 games should be enough for her against anyone other than Swiatek. The Slovak has not lost a set and her set scores are 6-3, 6-1, 6-3, 6-4, 6-1, and 6-3. This hot stretch includes a beatdown of #11 seed Veronika Kudermetova. As for Gauff, she was in poor form going into the French Open and lost sets in 2 of her first 3 rounds. I’m not willing to back the outright upset, but at +500 on the money line, Schmiedlova is worth a sprinkle to go along with this game spread bet.
Beatriz Haddad Maia -2.5 games over Sara Sorribes Toromo (-105)
An unexpected and extremely controversial development in doubles could be a factor in this otherwise under-the-radar match between BHM and SST. On Sunday, Sorribes Tormo and partner Marie Bouzkova successfully argued for their opponent to be defaulted after the opponent accidentally hit a ball girl with a ball. It was an utterly ridiculous scene and Sorribes Tormo (in addition to Bouzkova) is getting crucified by the media for her actions. You better believe the French fans won’t let the Spaniard forget it when she takes the court for singles on Monday. All of those shenanigans aside, Haddad Maia is the superior player with more impressive wins so far at this tournament. I’m expecting a rout.

Alexander Zverev vs. Grigor Dimitrov Over 37.5 games (-115)
For what should be one of the best matches of the entire fourth round at Roland Garros, a number of 37.5 surprisingly low. The over has way too much value to pass up in this situation. Zverev is a relatively convincing favorite because of his recent history of success at majors (including a semifinal showing last spring at the French Open) as well as his current form. The former world #2 has lost just 1 set so far in Paris (to Frances Tiafoe). However, Dimitrov is a formidable foe. The 32-year-old hasn’t even dropped 1 set so far and he is coming off a runner-up performance a little more than a week ago in Geneva. Moreover, these 2 players last faced each other at the 2021 Paris Masters and it resulted in a 7-6(4), 6-7(3), 6-3 scoreline in favor of Zverev. Count on Dimitrov once again being competitive and making this a long match.
