I have compiled a 2-1 record on each of the past 3 days, so we have plenty of wind behind our sails as the French Open trudges toward the second week of action. This stretch includes 5 of the 6 winning winning plays at plus money.

Saturday’s slate is headlined by an all-teenager showdown between Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva. I’m not touching that match because it’s too close to call for me and the odds don’t present value on either side, but there are plenty of other options. Let’s take a look at the best bets to be made on the Day 6 schedule.

Anna-Karolina Schmiedlova ML over Kayla Day (-115)

Schmiedlova was not in great form heading into Roland Garros, but at the same time this performance hasn’t come entirely out of nowhere. She has picked up more than half of her career match wins (197 of 385) on clay. Schmiedlova completely destroyed a previously red-hot Veronika Kudermetova in round 1 and made similarly quick work of Aliona Bolsova on Thursday. Day could be a bit fatigued, having already played 5 matches (3 in qualifying)–2 of which were 3-set battles. This is the American’s first appearance in the third round of a slam, so the stage will be big for her.

Borna Coric ML over Tomas Martin Etcheverry (+115)

Etcheverry is a clay-court specialist, but Coric has already defeated 2 of them this week: Federico Coria and Pedro Cachin. The Argentine is making his first Grand Slam third-round appearance, whereas it is nothing new for Coric. You also have to like the Croat’s chances based on his current form. He is coming off semifinal and quarterfinal performances, respectively, at Masters 1000 events in Rome and Madrid. Getting him at plus money is a steal.

Bianca Andreescu ML over Lesia Tsurenko (-130)

It may not be time to put Andreescu in the conversation of potentially winning another Grand Slam, but she would be ranked a lot higher than #42 if not for injuries. A first-round win over Victoria Azarenka was particularly impressive. Meanwhile, Tsurenko is playing well but isn’t particularly skilled on clay. The Ukrainian compiled a losing record on the surface in 5 of the last 10 seasons prior to this one. Tsurenko has advanced past the third round at Roland Garros only once in 13 appearances. Andreescu should be a bigger favorite than she is, so I’ll back her on the money line.
