Even though MLB appears to be at least a month away from starting the 2020 season, there are still endless opportunities to still play daily fantasy sports. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) is underway as ESPN has been doing daily coverage of the top games. With the amount of coverage, and ability to continue playing DFS, let’s take a look at the top targets and predictions for Saturday, May 23rd KBO slate. Before taking a look at Pickswise Expert DFS lineup advice, check out our free KBO picks which are posted daily on the site!
Pitcher
Sometimes fading the public might leave you out of the money as not having pitcher Drew Rucinski in your KBO DFS lineups for May 23 fits that mold. Even though he comes in at a high price of nearly $10,000, the NC Dinos have been the hottest team in the league with an impressive 12-3 record. He may allow a high of 21 hits, but he continues to get the necessary outs. With lasting six innings across the board so far, he is a must-start here today.
Third Base
This is where you win your money. The average KBO DFS player has been inserting third base, Jae Gyun Hwang, for the past weeks as he has been the most impressive stat player thus far. However with him sidelined with a finger injury, it’s time to put the research into play. My research shows that Sang Su Kim is a perfect option for the third base spot for May 23 as he has reached base in 13 consecutive games and has reached double-digit Draftkings points in four of the past seven games. In the past four home games, he holds six hits to his name as he will stay consistent once again here.
Outfield
A solid cheap and consistent outfielder here as Dong-Min Han of the SK Wyverns is on my potential home run list for May 23. He comes into this slate with a total of six home runs which is the best in the KBO thus far. With him being affordable, I’m willing to take that risk to see if he can launch one into the stands and lift our KBO lineups into the green.
Value Player
Often the value player makes or breaks a DFS winning lineup as I’m hopeful NC Dinos shortstop Jin Hyuk No should get the job done. He’s under the radar at the moment as he’s been hot and cold so far this season. However he might be starting to heat up as he’s coming off back to back two-hit games and now crossed over a .300 batting average. Especially with the Dinos rolling as of late, expect No to get plenty of opportunities.
