We’ve put together a four-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Wednesday, including action from the MLS and the MLB.
Two picks are taken from each sport and a winning ticket gives us a nice payout with odds at +1091 with BetMGM: that’s over 10/1! Let’s break down each of these four plays. Remember to gamble responsibly.
MLB pick: Pittsburgh Pirates vs Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 (-140) 2:10pm ET
The Pirates’ Steven Brault has MLB experience but he has not pitched in the majors this season. In the past, he has not been much to get excited about–certainly not the type to steal a game. Freddy Peralta is having a monster season for Milwaukee. This will be his fourth time facing Pittsburgh and the last time he did was one of his best starts of the season and just last week. He limited the Pirates to just 2 hits over 6.0 innings in the win. The league is hitting just .128 against him this season. Milwaukee is a super-heavy favorite on Wednesday, something we see a lot more of with the really bad teams this time of year. That makes the run play the only option in this game. Take Milwaukee.

MLS pick: New England Revolution ML (-145) vs Nashville SC, 7:00pm ET
New England have now won 4 in a row and will be looking to make that streak 5 for the 2nd time already this season. While the Revolution showed promising signs last year, few could have expected them to have an 8-point lead in the Eastern Conference halfway through the regular season. But this is no fluke – New England’s position in the standings is well-earned, and their team is only getting better with Matt Turner, Tajon Buchanan and Henry Kessler returning to the squad following the Gold Cup.
New England’s 3-2 comeback win over the Red Bulls last weekend showed the true grit of this team: even when missing starters and trailing on the road against a quality opponent, they won’t go down easily. Take the Revolution to stay hot and grab all three points in this one.

MLS pick: DC United vs Columbus Crew ML (+120), 7:30pm ET
The Columbus Crew managed perfectly fine without star striker Gyasi Zardes throughout the month of July. Columbus won 2 matches and drew a further 3, holding onto a playoff position at 6th place in the Eastern Conference. But the defending champions should have Zardes back on Wednesday, as his participation in the CONCACAF Gold Cup has concluded.
It’s been a more upbeat season for DC than they expected it to be, but the team still isn’t at the same level as a powerhouse like Columbus, and they won’t be able to steal a point on the road. Take the Crew on the money line.

MLB pick: Atlanta Braves vs St. Louis Cardinals – Over 9 Runs (-115), 8:15 pm ET
JA Happ’s ERA in 5 July starts was 9.22. By that metric, his innings alone would keep the game on pace to hit the total of over 9. While it’s unlikely Happ will give up 10 runs, it’s equally unlikely he’ll hold Atlanta scoreless after the 9 runs he surrendered in just 3.0 innings to the Tigers his last time out. Drew Smyly wasn’t hit as hard as Happ in July, but opposing hitters did bat .292 against him in the month. With Freddie Freeman, Ozzie Albies, Paul Goldschmidt, and Nolan Arenado, there’s way too much star power in these two lineups against two pitchers who have given up their fair share of runs to think that this could be a low-scoring game.
