We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Tuesday night and Wednesday morning including action from the MLB and KBO.
Three picks are taken from the MLB with 1 coming from the KBO on Wednesday morning. A winning ticket gives us a nice payout with odds at +897 with FanDuel; that’s more than 8/1! Let’s break down each of these plays. Remember to gamble responsibly.
MLB pick: Oakland Athletics ML (-115) vs Detroit Tigers, 7:10pm ET
Oakland lefty Cole Irvin is 2-2 in August. He has been consistent but far from elite for the A’s this season. He just takes the ball and gives them a chance to win. Detroit looks like a favorable matchup for his pitch to contact stuff. Tigers lefty Tarik Skubal might always be considered #2 to Casey Mize but the gap is not significant. Skubal has more wins and more strikeouts with 1 fewer start this season. He has pitched much better at home throughout the season.
Oakland is the better team and in better recent form so the premium is very reasonable in this game. Detroit is definitely not an autofade any more, but Oakland is the play on Tuesday.

MLB pick: Pittsburgh Pirates vs Chicago White Sox -1.5 (-165), 8:10pm ET
Lucas Giolito will be on the mound for Chicago. The veteran right-hander has allowed 2 or fewer earned runs in 8 of his last 10 starts, and he will face a Pittsburgh lineup that ranks dead last in all of baseball with a .665 OPS. Giolito has one of the best offenses in baseball supporting him. Only 4 teams have scored more runs than the White Sox this season, and just 1 team has scored more than them over the last 15 days. Their well-rounded lineup will present a tough challenge for Pittsburgh starter Bryse Wilson. Chicago’s bullpen will also be rested after a day off on Monday, so back the Southsiders -1.5 in this matchup.

MLB pick: Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers – Under 7.5 runs (-110), 10:10pm ET
In Walker Buehler’s last 5 starts, the games have combined for an average of 5.8 runs and that is largely because he has allowed 2 or fewer runs in every start since the All-Star break.
This game could be at a 1-1 or 2-0 score when these starters exit the game and both bullpens can keep the game low-scoring since they rank 1st and 4th in ERA in the last 15 days. This game has a pitchers’ duel written all over it, so backing the under will be the play.

KBO pick: Kia Tigers vs Doosan Bears -1.5 (-135), 5:30am ET (Wednesday morning)
The Bears are still 7th, trailing 5th place by 2.5 games. They will start Ariel Miranda, who has been one of their best pitchers this season. Miranda has a record of 10-4 on the year with an ERA of 2.57.
The Kia Tigers will counter with Joong-Hyun Yoon, who has not recorded a decision, but still has a respectable ERA of 3.51. He has struggled against the Bears, but does not have a huge sample size.
Backing the Bears in this game feels almost too easy, but there is nothing to indicate Yoon is going to improve. Miranda has just been too dominant for the Bears this season, so backing them on the run line will be the top play.
